LHCA Members - the 2024 Annual Ballot Voting Results are in!
Since the switch to online voting in 2020, we have seen a significant increase in community engagement. This year, 45% (271 ballots)
of the eligible voters participated!
This is a new record, far surpassing the 33% from last year.
Details can be found in the attachment, but here is the breakdown:
Board Seats (showing candidates who received more than 1 vote):
Paul Buster, Current chair for Security 223 votes 47.15%
Steven Hemmeline, Current chair for Events 223 votes 47.15%
Denise McBride 19 votes 4.02%
Summary of other results that passed:
- Increase New Member Initiation Fee by $150
- Increase Membership Dues by $50
- Add "Control of Pet" Language to clarify Rules and By-Laws
- Add language preventing dumping of outside personal trash
CAM will be mailing the 2025 renewal invoices soon.

The Lake Hills Park Association was established in 1959 and is one of the most effective and successful park associations in Austin. Its members enjoy a beautiful lakeside park, a guarded swimming pool, a boat ramp and docks, a roped beach area, all in a friendly, safe environment with many other recreational amenities. Board/Annual Meetings
Board meetings are held the THIRD Tuesday of each month at the clubhouse unless otherwise scheduled and announced. The annual meeting is held on the THIRD Sunday in October at 2:00 p.m. in the Lake Hills Community Association clubhouse.
Lake Hills Swim team
The Lake Hills Splashers team trains and hosts its home meets at the Lake Hills Park swimming pool. Participating in the Austin Hills Swim League, the team was formed over 25 years ago, and has grown to approximately 175 swimmers, ages 5-17.
